Car wash and vehicle service station wastewater contains petroleum hydrocarbons, engine oil, grease, detergents, and sediments — all prohibited under NEQS from direct discharge. The typical treatment approach combines an API oil-water separator with SAF/DAF for hydrocarbon and SS removal, followed by multimedia filtration. Water recovery ratios of 60–80% significantly reduce water consumption for commercial car wash operations.
